Miami, FL — December 3rd, 2024 — Seaworthy Collective, a Miami-based nonprofit that supports current, aspiring, and underrepresented entrepreneurs driving innovation for ocean and climate impact (AKA BlueTech), announced its partnership with Environment Next as one of its newest $100,000 grantees, selected for remarkable achievements and innovative approaches to lead, educate and invest in new and exciting approaches to save the planet.
“Environment Next’s recognition and investment in our work will not only enable us to provide 12 weeks of support for multiple BlueTech entrepreneurs in our next cohort at no cost to them, but also support our growing ambitions for how we scale our impact. With our new investment vehicle, RegeneraSea, we’re finally able to financially support Seaworthy’s startups, enabling access to catalytic capital via innovative philanthropy in our significantly underfunded niche in the ecosystem. We’re thrilled to have Environment Next leading our next wave of partnerships furthering both equitable and exponential ocean and climate impact for 2025 and beyond.” - Daniel Kleinman, Founder & CEO of Seaworthy Collective

With this grant, Seaworthy Collective will build on its most impactful year to date (read our 2024 Impact Report here). We will continue to support BlueTech entrepreneurs through Seaworthy’s Startup Programs, with our flagship Startup Studio and Incubator plus our community and network platform called The Shoreline, activating our community to co-create and grow early-stage startups. We also host Community Programs including The Sea Change Makers Panel Series, featuring the diverse founders Seaworthy supports in its startup programs, plus our biggest event of the year, The Startup Showcase, as well as collaborative events.
This year we also piloted our first ever Sea Change Maker Fellowship with Miami Dade College, enabling students and aspiring entrepreneurs to venture into BlueTech, with 1 fellow joining our latest cohort to co-create their startup! Most recently, we announced Seaworthy Collective’s new impact investment vehicle, RegeneraSea, mobilizing philanthropic capital for investments in the startups and founders we support through our startup programs, driving equitable and exponential ocean and climate impact. Altogether, we’re doubling down on our mission of making BlueTech accessible and inclusive in 2025, and couldn’t be more excited about Environment Next anchoring our work going into next year!
